Acts 8 Ministries is equipping the Ethiopian Body of Christ with discipleship training resources.
Located in Bishoftu (Debre Zeit), Ethiopia, our Equipping Center offers training programs for a wide range of believers. Our training teams [Acts 8 Ethiopia] also travel the country, working closely with various churches, denominations, and ministry organizations such as Great Commission Ministry Ethiopia and Evangelical Church Fellowship of Ethiopia.
In addition to sending training teams to various locations, we also offer programs at its Equipping Center in Bishoftu (Debre Zeit).

Youth Leadership Development

Refugee Children’s Ministry
Ethiopia hosts a large number (estimated more than 700,000) of refugees from the neighboring countries. Some Ethiopian churches are ministering to children who are in refugee camps. Acts 8 Ethiopia comes alongside these churches to provide them with resources to better equip them for reaching and nurturing refugee children to give them hope. [continue to read HERE]
Meet Our Team
Our ministry team is made up of local Ethiopian Christian volunteers. Teresa Riggs is the Executive Director and the local team leader.
I was a high school teacher by profession. At present, I am retired from secular work. However, I am still active in teaching, preaching, and counseling youth. I have one biological daughter and others whom I support.

I work in the church as a pastor and live with my family in the town of Debre Zeit. I am married to my wife, Lydia, and have two young sons, Yoakin and Ethanim.

I am a graduate student at Addis Ababa University on a women’s scholarship. While I work and study, I care for my Mom who is declining with Alzheimer’s disease.
